I just wrapped up an AMAZING week at #IGHR learning about DNA as Genealogical Evidence (Advanced), and I'm still on that genealogy high. I hope to share some of my learning from there as I apply it in my work because it really was a special week.
But now, we are just hours away from the 41st IAJGS International Conference
on Jewish Genealogy (IAJGS), and I'm having a blast checking out the virtual platform that makes me feel like a Sim (one of my favorite games ever).
Already seeing some great deals at the various booths (Family Tree Maker 2019 here I come!), and I'm really excited to listen to many of these presentations, both live and on-demand. Presentations in the On-Demand library are available for 60 days! You can meet with representatives in the various booths, discuss your own personal genealogy questions with mentors, and even play an in-conference game where you collect points visiting vendors at the expo, attending presentations, and finding matzo balls throughout (can you see one, here?).
As a reminder, I'm presenting four times. I present "A Crash Course in Practical Genetic Genealogy" LIVE tomorrow, August 1st, at 1:45pm ET. I also pre-recorded three presentations on Navigating Your Jewish DNA Results, The Jews of New England, and the FAN Club that you can watch on-demand. Hope to see you there!
